About the project.
EMC² Create Growth is a government-funded programme designed to support creative businesses across the East Midlands.
Backed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, the programme has helped hundreds of companies access tailored business support and unlock growth.
When funding was extended to 2026, EMC² needed a refreshed website that could evolve alongside the programme – with space to showcase success stories, promote upcoming events, and drive new sign-ups from the regional creative community.

The Challenge.
The original website was no longer fit for purpose. It lacked the flexibility and clarity needed to support the next phase of the programme.
Digital Planning was brought in to:
- Refresh the site design to feel more current and visually engaging.
- Make it easier for creative businesses to discover the programme and register their interest.
- Add functionality for event promotion and sign-ups.
- Introduce a new section to share case studies and success stories.
- Ensure the CMS is easy for the EMC² team to manage independently.
Result.
The new EMC² website is clear, accessible, and designed to grow with the programme.
It gives prospective applicants an easy way to learn more, explore real success stories, and sign up for events online. The case study hub and events page help humanise the support on offer, while the updated design better reflects the energy and creativity of the region’s business community.
The result is a user-friendly site that supports both outreach and operations – with more clarity for visitors, and more control for the team.
