Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against common cyber threats. It focuses on key technical controls such as secure configuration, access control, malware protection, firewalls and security updates.
Cyber Essentials is based on a self-assessment. Cyber Essentials Plus uses the same core controls, but adds independent technical testing to check that those controls are working in your organisations. It provides a higher level of assurance for customers, partners and supply chains.
Digital Planning delivers Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus together as one managed certification route. This helps organisations prepare properly for both the self-assessment and the technical audit.
Our support can include readiness guidance, gap review, remediation advice, assessment preparation and support through the Cyber Essentials Plus technical audit. The level of support depends on whether you choose CE+ Basic or CE+ Premium.
CE+ Basic is designed for organisations that are mostly prepared and need structured support through the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification process.
CE+ Premium is designed for organisations that need more hands-on support, including deeper remediation guidance and support with improving cyber readiness before assessment.
Yes. For organisations that need support beyond certification, we can provide ongoing cyber readiness support through services such as patching, device monitoring, vulnerability management and practical guidance.
Remote device monitoring and management is available for customers signed up to patching. It is not automatically included with every Cyber Essentials Plus support option.
