Digital Planning welcomes Technical Support Engineer

Digital Planning welcomes Eamon Brookes as a new Technical Support Engineer in its growing cyber security team.

His appointment strengthens the company’s ability to support organisations seeking practical, hands-on protection from evolving cyber threats.

Eamon recently graduated in Bsc (Hons) Computer Science from De Montfort University, where he developed a strong theoretical grounding across security, systems and software.

He brings around eight years of continuous exposure to computer science, from school through to degree level, showing long-term commitment to the discipline.

Eamon also has a particular interest in cyber security and research and development.

In previous projects, he explored “both sides” of operating systems by experimenting with ethical hacking techniques to understand how attackers think and behave.

This mindset supports Digital Planning’s focus on building secure-by-design platforms and services for regulated and sensitive environments.

At Digital Planning, Eamon will work alongside colleagues Executive Coordinator Julie Hopkinson and Chief Information Officer Tony Kearins – providing responsive technical support to cyber security clients.

He will help customers navigate and automate the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus process, reducing friction and saving time for busy teams.

This includes supporting evidence gathering, resolving technical queries and helping organisations implement the controls they need to achieve and maintain certification.

Eamon’s role also connects into Digital Planning’s broader managed IT and automation services.

By combining front-line technical support with deep cyber knowledge, he helps clients turn complex requirements into clear actions.

His arrival underlines Digital Planning’s commitment to investing in specialist talent to keep clients secure, productive and confident in a fast-changing digital landscape.
