Digital Planning moves in to Advanced Technology Innovation Centre

Digital Planning has moved into larger office space at the Advanced Technology Innovation Centre in Loughborough.

ATIC, at the heart of the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park, is home to dozens of R&D-powered businesses.

This move comes as the company manages a period of rapid growth, going from 7 employees in May 2024 to 24 in May 2025.

Founded in 2020, Digital Planning has established as a regional leader in AI-driven digital automation for complex and regulated industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services.

The company’s relocation from Barrow-upon-Soar to ATIC has trebled its floorspace, as well as providing the infrastructure needed to support its expanding operations.

Mark Underwood, Co-Director, said:

We’ve experienced incredibly fast growth over the past couple of years, so moving into larger space was a logical next step for us.

ATIC meets our needs by giving us space the need to continue building our digital and cybersecurity functions while also continuing to work on transformative projects like Metis, our proprietary AI platform, while staying connected to the tech and research communities within the university.

Business innovation in the Midlands

ATIC is designed to encourage collaboration between tenants.

Part of LUSEP, one of the UK’s largest science parks, Digital Planning joins a wider ecosystem of more than 75 high-tech organisations and world-class research centres.

The strategic location provides access to state-of-the-art facilities and superfast broadband on a woodland campus within minutes of the M1.

The move comes as Digital Planning continues to secure private investment to accelerate the development of Metis, its AI-powered contextual resource allocation system.

The growth of the company is creating high-quality jobs, as well as research collaborations with partners including Derby University and the Royal Society.
