Digital Planning to run ‘AI in Action’ workshop for East Mids businesses

Digital Planning is running a workshop to give campus partners a practical look into how AI tools can be used in day-to-day operations to improve productivity.

The workshop, taking place at ATIC, Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park, where Digital Planning is based, moves away from AI theory and focuses on live, working examples.

It’s part of Digital Planning’s work to make AI adoption easy to access for businesses across the East Midlands.

Co-founder James Ferraby said: “Most businesses are starting to use the tools but just haven’t connected them yet. We want people to leave the session with something they can act on.”

James and Chief Technology Officer Robbie Lewis will walk through how AI is being used day-to-day – connecting platforms, automating routine tasks and reducing the admin that slows teams down.

The examples are practical and grounded in real business operations:
• Updating CRM records
• Generating follow-up communications
• Moving work through a pipeline

Tasks that currently take time and attention, handled automatically, so people can concentrate on the work that needs them.

AI tools are widely available, but many businesses don’t know which ones to use, how to connect them and what to realistically expect from them. Digital Planning works with businesses to resolve this.

The workshop brings that experience into a single session, to provide a clearer picture of what AI looks like when it is working well inside a business.

Digital Planning works with businesses across the Midlands to implement agentic AI that improves productivity and reduces operational overhead.

The event will take place on Tuesday 14th July at 11:30am to 1.30pm.
