Digital Planning welcomes Digital Transformation Specialist

Digital Planning expands its coding and digital solutions expertise with the addition of James Reed as Digital Transformation Specialist.

James will be working closely with Digital Planning’s AI/ML Engineer, Ben, to deliver data-driven solutions for internal innovation and future client projects.

His focus at Digital Planning will be:

  • Data science
  • Data engineering
  • Agentic AI
  • Digital transformation.

The role allows James to apply and further develop his skills across advanced technology domains, supporting our mission to deliver bespoke digital products and business automation tailored to client needs.

He said: “I am grateful to be working with a team that shares a strong vision for client-focused results.

“Building good client relationships has been at the heart of my freelance work, and it’s great to continue that at Digital Planning alongside a talented team.

“I’m particularly excited about the agentic AI projects we’re curating and seeing how these bespoke, client-specific solutions can really boost productivity makes the future here genuinely exciting.”

James brings a combination of legal expertise and digital project delivery to the team.

After graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2020 with an LLB in Law, he spent two years as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant in civil litigation, supporting clients and engaging in cross-departmental projects within wills and probate.

Transitioning from law to technology, James developed a passion for coding and quickly evolved this interest into a professional pursuit.

During two years of freelance contract work, he:

  • Interpreted and visualised large-scale financial data for websites
  • Provided tailored data solutions to diverse organisations
  • Delivered survey data modelling for sporting clients.

James’s journey from law to digital transformation highlights his adaptability, analytical mindset and commitment to innovative problem-solving – essential skills for digital transformation in regulated and complex environments.

Digital Planning Co-Founder, Mark Underwood said: “James’s unique background in both law and digital project delivery is exactly the kind of expertise we value at Digital Planning.

“His ability to bridge technical and business needs will help us deliver even more innovative solutions for our clients as we continue to grow our team and capabilities.”
