Digital Planning sponsors innovation at Leicestershire Business Awards 2026

Digital Planning is sponsoring the Digital Transformation and Innovation of the Year categories at the 2026 Leicestershire Business Awards.

The aim is to back organisations that use technology and innovation to deliver evidence of productivity, resilience and streamlined services.

Hosted by East Midlands Chamber, the annual awards bring together businesses across Leicestershire to celebrate growth, skills and innovation across the region.

Digital Planning research, develop, and deliver next generation technologies that transform productivity in complex and regulated industries, advancing human capability through original digital solutions.

Through sponsoring these categories, the business is supporting teams that move beyond pilots and prototypes to secure, scalable digital solutions that improve operations and unlock measurable business results.

Co-Founder Mark Underwood said: “Our work is about transforming productivity through original digital technologies, so it makes sense to support organisations in the region that are using tech to remove bottlenecks, free up their people and build long‑term capability.”

Digital Planning became a strategic partner of the East Midlands Chamber last year which formalised a relationship built through joint innovation projects and regional skills initiatives.

The partnership focuses on next generation transformation – helping introduce members to automation, AI and modern digital infrastructure.

The Digital Transformation Award recognises organisations that redesign how they operate using technology, delivering clear gains in efficiency, service quality and risk management.

Innovation of the Year highlights teams turning new ideas into products, services or platforms with measurable commercial or social impact.

Digital Planning took part in judging the awards earlier this month, looking for strong data on results, clear user benefits and credible plans to scale impact across each organisation.

The sponsorship builds on Digital Planning’s wider regional activity, including partnerships with universities, Innovate UK‑backed programmes and growth initiatives that develop reusable digital tools and IP for East Midlands organisations.

The annual awards play an important role in showcasing what the region does best.

It highlights businesses whose innovation and digital transformation are creating jobs, building new capabilities and strengthening the East Midlands economy.
