Digital Planning attended Leicester Riders’ final home game of 2025 at the Mattioli Arena as official game ball sponsor.
Gameball sponsorship places a partner at the centre of the match night, with visibility built into pre-game build-up, on-court presentation, and in-arena activity as the official game ball is handed over and used in play.
This comes as Digital Planning has agreed a new partnership with Leicester Riders – the UK’s oldest professional basketball club – becoming its official digital partner.
The partnership strengthens Riders’ digital platforms for engaging fans, partners, and community programmes.
The agreement follows the release of the Riders’ new official website, designed and built by Digital Planning.
The custom WordPress build delivers faster performance, streamlined navigation and fully integrated ticketing – making it easier for fans and sponsors to discover fixtures, buy tickets, and engage with club content on any device.
As Official Digital Partner, Digital Planning is embedding product, design, and engineering capability into Riders’ long-term plans for ticketing, hospitality, and sponsor activation.
On court, Riders closed out the year with an 85-73 win over Bristol Flyers, combining efficient offence with disciplined defence in front of their highest home crowd of the season.
Travelling to the game as a team gave Digital Planning a view of how digital journeys, sponsorship assets, and game day operations work together. Those insights will inform the next phase of work on fan experience, growth automation, and partner value.
Beyond sport, Digital Planning is building Metis as a long‑term AI platform rather than a point solution, with clear pathways for future development and market impact across complex sectors.
