Digital Planning leads AI talk at Barclays Eagle Labs anniversary

Digital Planning was special guest during the anniversary of Barclays Eagle Labs Leicester.

Co-founder James Ferraby was invited to join the panel at the exclusive celebration marking the second year of the partnership between Barclays and De Montfort University.

The event brought together stakeholders and partners or Eagle Labs, which operates UK-wide to support founders and entrepreneurs as they innovate and grow.

It is one of the largest networks for start-ups and scale-ups in the UK.

Digital Planning at Eagle Labs

James described how Digital Planning has been involved with Eagle Labs over the last year – a period in which the company’s client base and income has grown dramatically.

And he set out ideas for invited guests for how the service could be expanded into specific areas of support over the next 12 months.

“We were assigned an Eagle Labs mentor specialising in the needs of fast-growth businesses and gained access to the innovation space and meeting rooms,” said James.

“We’ve also attended some effective networking events under the Eagle Labs and DMU banners, which have enabled us to meet some great collaborators in the regional tech space.”

Digital business growth

Speaking after the event, James said: “Digital Planning has gone from a £2k startup loan to high-growth tech company in 4 years by providing tailored digital and AI solutions that are transforming human productivity.

“It was great to be able to look back on the journey so far, as well as looking ahead to our planned launch of a major standalone platform in the next 12 months.

“The people in the room were really engaged in what we are doing at Digital Planning and it was great to be able to tell them all about it.”

Based at the DMU Innovation Centre, Barclays Eagle Lab Leicester provides business support, growth programmes and events for innovators, founders and entrepreneurs across the city and county.

Poonam Sharma, the Leicester Ecosystem Manager, hosted the anniversary event alongside Helen Donnellan, DMU’s Director of Research, Business and Innovation. The event also included a presentation on KTPs available through the university.
