About the project.
Patterns and moulds (P&M) is a leading UK mould manufacturer, specialising in advanced, complex 3D patterns and moulds.
Projects range from small precise forms to large scale production for industrial clients.
To access security sensitive sectors, P&M needed to align its digital infrastructure with strict security and confidentiality standards.

Challenge.
The infrastructure at Patterns and Moulds is more complex than most SME businesses, with multiple factory units spread across a several acre site.
Outdated controller systems ran on unsupported operating systems, complicating efforts to improve security while maintaining core manufacturing operations.

Solution.
Digital Planning conducted discovery workshops to assess the full technology landscape.
We implemented support solutions using the ESET security suite, including multi-factor authentication and patch management.
Networking upgrades ensured CNC controller systems could function securely without exposing the broader business to risk.
With these controls in place, we guided P&M through the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation process, achieving certification in just six weeks.
CE+ certification
P&M achieved and now maintains their CE+ accreditation annually.
